Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. ~John 6:35
First Eucharist for Children (First Communion)
The First Communion program at St. Norbert Church involves a two-year process that prepares your child to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist. The child must be in at least the 2nd grade to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. The process requires 2 years for elementary children. Children can begin their formation at the earliest in the 1st grade.
This process includes a combination of parish life activities, gatherings with their peers, and parent-led sessions in your home. Our hope is to journey with your family as we learn about the Catholic faith together!!
NOTE: Godparents or sponsors are not required for the sacrament of first holy communion.

Adult Sacramental Preparation
We invite baptized adults who have NOT yet celebrated the sacrament of First Eucharist or Confirmation to enroll in the Adult Confirmation Preparation program.
Participants must be age 19 or older, baptized Catholic, and not have any sacramental impediments (such as the need for a marriage annulment). Each candidate needs to have a sponsor who is already confirmed Catholic and married in the Catholic Church (if married).
